HDMI and now component issues, bad DVR??

Hi

I'm experiencing the same HDMI handshake issues as others have.  However, it has only been a minor problem since I had fios tv installed last December, probably once every 5-7 weeks I would have to reboot the box to get the HDMI working again.  That was until Wednesday of this past week.  Now the HDMI cuts off often and only when I try accessing a recorded program on the DVR.

Well, I had enough of resetting the box, so I switched to component cables.  All seemed to be fine for most of yesterday, but last night I went to watch a recorded program on the DVR and the component connection did the same thing, cut out and the box had to be reset to get the connection back.

I was thinking that since I did not remove the HDMI cable, that may have somehow caused the component to drop out, but it seems like wishful thinking.

Should I get a replacement 6416-2 from verizon??

Yes. I just had mine replaced today and it works nice!
