Since last week's Update, my DVR is acting strange! First the "REC" light was staying on when I did not have a recording scheduled. I understand this is a known issue with Quantum and is being worked on. Last night(Sunday) I had two recordings scheduled from 10-11PM. "REC" never went on yet both both shows did record. Is this a known issue with Quantum also? I've only been with FIOS for 5 weeks. Thanks!

Yes this is a bug having to do with the latest firmware update. Seeing it myself. It's annoying the light comes on for no reason, but the good thing is it doesn't seem to mess anything up with recordings. Hopefully they are working on a patch soon for the long list of bugs they have. Luckily the rec light seems to be the only major bug I have.
Sincara, thanks for the info! I had to keep checking last night to make sure my two shows were recording without the "REC" light on! Hopefully, it will get fixe soon. Thanks again!

I hope they fix it soon myself because it is annoying. I set a show to record in the future today and the rec light came on right away. My client box in my bedroom will have the rec light come on at all different times at random more then my media server. Sometimes it will go off on its own while other times I have to turn the box on and off. So far everything I set to record has, but having to wonder if the bug will screw something up is enough of a pain.
It seems to me that Verizon FIOS subscribers should NOT have to pay for a faulty DVR service while it is inoperable and just causeing frustration. When I talked to a Verizon tech, he was very rude and unhelpful. He didnt even know there was a problem or anything about updates!! Customers speak up and demand your rights that it is unethical to make customers pay for services not received.
