Moving FIOS connection

I don't want to pay $80 to have my FIOS connection and computer moved to a different room.  Has anyone moved the wall plate/connection?  Cable was much easier to deal with!

Milton....

I have several computer connections all over the house (7 computers+ set top boxes and wireless devices).... but to comment on what is required in your case would need to know more about your situation.  Is it an Ethernet Connection?

You know you should already have wifi from the Verizon router and if you use that no wiring changes may be necessary....

FIOS will use the same Cables in your house that a Cable Compnay would use.

If you just want to move your Verizon Modem and Computer into another room you will need a Live Coax jack that is being fed from the Verizon ONT in your Basement/Garage/Attic/Outside.

Do you have a Coax Jack in the room where you want the FIOS Connection and Computer moved to ?

If not then ANY Provider (Verizon FIOS or Cable Company) would chanrge you to install  a new line.
