Need accessory power outlet on new QIP7232 HD DVR Set Top Box

Just received the replacement STBs in order to be able to to maintain channel selections when FIOS upgrades come in April.

Problem: the QIP7232 replacement STB for my old QIP5416 doesn't have a switchable accessory power outlet.

This is a major oversight as I currently use the switchable power outlet  to power my sound system.

It's a pain to not have the convenience of one button turning on all systems!

 

Also the instruction booklet supplied with the QIP7232 shows illustrations of the QIP6416 type STB rather than the "black box" QIP7232
