on demand menu cut off in HD

So I finally had to get an hd tv (sd tv finally died).

I set up the dvr to display 16:9 HD graphicsfor menus.

The regular menu all looks fine.  When I go to vod the menu is 4:3 pillarboxed, but the actual menu looks like it is 16:9 but cut off on each side and unusable.

is there a setting I am missing?

Try setting your SD Override setting to off.

It already was set to off.

to me it sounds like your tv's zoom function is in play, not the set top box.   try to find your original remote or try the # key. i think if your tv is programmed to the remote then that will control your AR

It already was set to off.

Then it could be your zoom control as mentioned by Hubrisnxs.
