Pop-up window asking to upgrade from 00105 to 00107

Every 30 minutes or so a pop-up window is asking to "Upgrade from 00105 to 00107" with three selection choices: a) Upgrade Now, b) Upgrade Later, and c) Do Not Upgrade. However, none of the buttons on the remote will allow you to make a selection of a), b) or c) and the pop-up window dissapears after about 30 seconds or so by itself.

 

The Verizon tech did reset / reprogrammed and refreshhed the set top box settings but that did not eliminate the problem.

 

It is very annoying that now we have to content with pop-ups on TV that can not be eliminated.

 

Is anyone has this problem or anyone found a solution to the problem. Please let us know. Thank you

Several others who had such messages discovered it was there TV"S that wanted to do an upgrade.  Grade your TV's remote instead of your fios remote.

Thank you 'tns'.  You had a very common sense suggestion that was the solution to the problem.

 

I wished the Verizon tech had that knowledge; it would have saved hours of frustration.
