We have a whole house DVR. From day 1 we have been losing sound on TV in living room. If we change the channel and go back the sound usually does too. Sometimes I need to unplug the DVR and replug to get the sound back. Called Verizon. They don't seem to know what is causing it. I think we need a new DVR. We have only had Verizon for a few months. Thanks for your help in this.

I've heard these kind of issue can sometimes be related to HDMI. If that TV is connected via HDMI and you have some component cables handy you can temporarily switch the cables. if the problem goes away you know it's HDMI related. If it does then you've ruled that out. You can also try experimenting with some of the sound options in the Settings menu to see if it helps.
