Turning Off Closed Captioning in the YouTube Widget

I was able to turn on closed captioning in the Fios YouTube widget.

 

However,  when I reverse the procedure, the selection of no closed captioning never gets accepted by the widget, and I have to exit out of YouTube.

 

Is there a fix for this?
