Our cable box was upgraded wtihout our knowledge. We recieved no email, alert message or notice in the mail. After the upgrade, we had problems with our box top. It is very frustrating that this upgrade happened without our knowledge.

Are you talking about the guide update? Verizon did send out messages to the message center in the menu and emails about it. There's nothing you could have done about it anyways. Everyone is forced to have it. You can't decide if you want to keep what you had before it.

Yeah, this is a **bleep**. I was in the middle of recording at the time, lost 5 minutes of a show. What would be better is if they notified you of an upgrade, then gave you the control over when it occurs, rather than pushing it through at a time of their choosing. This has happened so often that it is more than a minor annoyance.

They push them out all at once for the entire market. It's not like they can just pick and choose which accounts get them. That would be way to time consuming and they would have to keep track of every account. That wouldn't make any sense.
I don't see how its more then a minor annoyance when updates only come 1 or 2 times a year.
