I don't think the threads about FTP being discontinued should have been moved to the FIOS section "for greater exposure." I have DSL, and the loss of FTP really has an impact on all of us. Sorry, but just my opinion.
The threads were moved in order to keep the board more organized. We realize that not everyone has FiOS, but since the threads there had already expanded quite a bit and there were several in the General Services section, it made it confusing for new users joining the discussions.
I agree. I think it's totally bogus of Verizon to kill FTP like this. I looked for exisiting threads yesterday and found a few in the Fios section and ultimately started a thread in this forum to post my displeasure with Verizon. I hope they lose a lot of long time customers over something as trivial as closing down FTP. I know my wife and I are seriously considering dropped Verizon complelely.
