Actiontec GT704WG-B firmware question

I just received a replacement Actiontec GT704WG-B(revision B) that just replaced my broken GT704WG,  not so surprisingly the router looks different from the old but also is very similar.  Also, the firmware versions are different this new one's firmware is 30.15.0 while the old one was 3.20.3.3.5.0.9.2.14, but they interface throughout the menu is very much the same and if not, very similar.

My problem is, this new router won't let me have one of the same ports for 2 different IP's.   For example UDP 3072 for 192.168.1.64 and 192.168.1.65 does not work, if one is already in use and I try to apply it to another I get a "virtual server error".  On the other hand with the old router I have not had any issues with what I have described above.  My guess it is a firmware issue, so I am wondering if it is a safe move to "update" to  3.20.3.3.5.0.9.2.14, a firmware that was for the GT704WG and replace it with this current one 30.15.0 from the new revision.

Also to note, Im not sure but I think the newer revision also has lil tweaks with wireless security.

Strange that your old router let you do that.
