can't connect with new DSL service

I have had DSL for 4 years now and when I disconnected my home phone and DSL they switched me to another phone number for just the DSL, now I can't connect. I have talked to every tech person all over the world and am tired of pinging and being told it's now my computer. I have had the tech people at the house and they can't figure out why I can't connect. The lines have been tested, my computer settings are the same as they were before all of this started. Help please. Any suggestions?
