Hi, I have Verizon DSL at home and would like to send emails from this account via my iphone. I have set up all the settings to match what I have at home as well as port 25. It works fine from when it is on my home wireless network, but when connecting over the AT&T 3G network, emails cannot be sent. I also tried port 587 as I saw a post suggesting that could work.
Any ideas? The suspicion is that Verizon blocks sent messages originating outside of their network. While this is plausible it doesn't explain why my AT&T blackberry was able to send messages from my Verizon account.
