Help With DNS

Anyone know where Verizon hides its list of DNS servers? Or what the proper DNS servers for a NYC DSL connection should be?

I've searched the support site and the forums and can't seem to find any info about DNS servers at all...

Thanks,

Joe

There's a lot and I don't have a full list...but if I were to suggest a DNS server, I would suggest the OpenDNS servers. (Note we don't support them)

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

#1 Not only does CharlesH not have a full list, neither does DSLR. 😉

b) While I am waiting for the people at DSLR to remove the invalid DNS servers, I still point to:

DSLR (dslreports.com) All FAQs » Verizon Online DSL FAQ » Connection » What are the DNS servers?

#2 Some DNS Servers are faster then others, depending on where you are.

I used the program from http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

Here is a sample result of what I got...
