locked out of email code "999"

I have a new laptop running Vista, had it for 2 weeks, this week I started having problems when checking my email.  Gives an error code of "999' anybody else have this problem.

This what I found when searching with Google for error code 999 http://www.murraymoffatt.com/software-problem-0011.html While I have no idea of who your e-mail provider is (for example Yahoo), perhaps it may help you. In most cases this is caused by the interaction of Yahoo and a certain Skype plugin. Skype was supposed to have released an update to fix this, so the problem should be resolved.

If you do not have Skype installed, then you'll need to disable all of your addons and add them back one at a time to see if you can access it.

The issue with skype was that it was running some sort of background refresh often enough that Yahoo's servers see it as an attack/viral activity. Once you get the 999 error, it will probably take about an hour for your account to unlock again.
