I have a Westell 327w modem for the dsl, and am having signal issues. We have 2 computers sitting completely opposite in our house. One is upstairs and one is downstairs on opposite sides of the house from one another. We have a 802.11g wireless card in the one downstairs and it frequently losing signal and never has a signal strength above low. We have an Belkin N router from our son and are wondering if there is anyway to use the supposed signal boost it gives to rectify our signal strength problem. Will buying a modem that can transmit an 802.11n signal to this router solve the signal problem or is there something else we should try? The computers are about 60 feet from each other with no intermediate phone jack in between for us to hook the current westel into.
Thanks in advance.
