Windows Remote Assistance Easy Connect

Hi,

I'm trying to help troubleshoot a family member's computer using Windows Remote Assistance and it seems I'm the one that needs help.  Smiley Surprised

Both PCs are running Windows 7 Professional.  I've made outbound Remote Assistance connections before on my computer so I know my computer is set up correctly, but this is my first time doing so behind a FiOS router and now I'm unable to make a connection.  Remote Assistance "Easy Connect" is not working on my end and neither is the other file sharing method to establish a connection.

Following the Windows Help and Support, I ran the Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool (requires Internet Explorer), http://www.microsoft.com/windows/using/tools/igd/default.mspx, and it displayed errors with NAT and uPnP.  I'm at a loss at how to enable Windows Remote Assistance.  I know of other options like www.logmein.com but I would like this to work for the ease of use and future assistance I need to provide to other people.

Is Easy Connect available for anyone else?  Any ideas?  Has anyone gotten Windows Remote Assistance to work behind a FiOS router?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Im not familiar with that product but I can tell you that I use

www.logmein.com very successfully.  I have even had folks that no nothing about computers run and enable this so i can help fix their PCs.  Its free for this too.

UPnP may be disabled on the FiOS router, which is what could be preventing the use of Remote Assistance. LogMeIn will work, in addition to TeamViewer ( http://www.teamviewer.com ) which basically works the same way as Logmein.
