I seem to remember reading Verizon terms & conditions in the late 1990s early 2000s that my high speed internet fees are charged one month in advanced, sorta like cell phone charges, where I pay this month for next month's service. Is that still the case for Verizon DSL? If I want to cancel my DSL service, when, or what time within a billing cycle should I do that to not lose money? or will Verizon prorate?
For example, if my DSL bill (statement date 12/31/2010) is due Feb 1st. If I cancel on Jan 31, and not pay the fee due. Am I even with Verizon? Or if I pay the fee, is the January usage already paid then? please enlighten. Thanks!

Hi-
All info on DSL plans should be here: http://www22.verizon.com/Residential/HighSpeedInternet/Plans/Plans.htm
If you don't find what you need there, I recommend that you contact Verizon directly.
Here's the direct link to Residential Support: http://www22.verizon.com/residentialhelp/
Here are links with all means to contact Verizon: http://www22.verizon.com/content/ContactUs/. The Chat link will load after the page is fully loaded.
Hope this helps.
Doug
