Inability to pay bill online.

After several years of being able to pay my Verizon bill online, I am now informed that the reason I am unable to do so this month is because the website is being upgraded! However, after two days of being assured that this problem would soon be fixed, I am now told that I can only pay by phone, but would have to pay an extra $3.50 for this privilege! Has anyone else had this situation and if so, what did you do about such poor business methods?

Hmm I just paid my bill on line and was not charged a fee to do so? 

Anyway it appears you need to login with your verizon account and then you can make an on-line onetime payment with out the charge.

I of course have no clue what your problem may be, but I just paid my bill online about 10 minutes ago, no problem. And I have not had a single problem for the last 5 years paying online. One thing Verizon seems to be very good at is taking my money any time I offer it.
