That's why I did it this way but everyone has to make their own choice.

I have no problem with that.  The reasons provided by them make sense based upon their concerns about corruption.

 

All I'm saying is that if someone feels that the OTA update is better (or necessary to apply after performing the manual update) and is concerned that doing the manual update could be deemed rooting or otherwise cause to void the warranty, they should just sit a little longer and let it come.
